DEGREE PROGRAMMES

: M.Sc. Geothermal Energy (Non-Thesis-Evening)

General Description

History

Department of Master s Degrees Program of Geothermal Energy has started as the multidisciplinary level, in the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences in Dokuz Eylul University in 2005/2006 academic year. The program has been accepting graduate students from different disciplines such as Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Science or Physics, Chemistry, Statistics and Mathematics departments. Students have been informed about the use of geothermal energy and equipped with the practical and theoretical knowledge concerning with its applications areas, however it provide the opportunities for the educational. At the same time, this program support and encourage the interdisciplinary research to subjects related to geothermal energy. The aim of program is training the experts who are capable of produce solutions, managing the processes and coordinating in the areas of theory and practice. In addition, when the rapid development of geothermal energy as parallel with technological advancement is considered, in later years, some improvement may be done on both course content and implementation in education of geothermal energy according to these developments.
