General Description
History |
This program has been initiated under YÖK/World Bank Project in 2002 2003 academic year. This two year program is composed of four semesters, each 14 weeks duration. In these two years, academic courses, laboratories and also industry based learning are educated. Chemistry Technology Program provides education as secondary education as well as formal education. |

The student must complete 2 years of study acquiring 120 (ECTS) credits. This degree is awarded to students who have successfully completed all courses in the curriculum, compulsory 40 days of internship and have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00/4.00 and no failing grades. |

Chemistry technician can work both in the chemical industries and other industries which require chemical processes, quality control, chemical analysis and researches. The industries (painting, detergent, cosmetics, paper, refinery and petrochemical, plastic, glass and food industries etc.) used chemistry for production, quality control and researches are presented more extensive job opportunities. |
Access to Further Studies |
According to the "Regulation on the Continuation of Undergraduate Education for Open Education Associate Degree Programs' and Vocational Schools' Graduates", the Vocational School Graduates, who wish to continue to the Undergraduate Degree, may register to the relevant departments by entering and succeeding the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS). |
