Course Objective

The aim of this course is to teach the concept of quantitative analysis in analytical chemistry and to perform its applications.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to perform quantitative analysis using gravimetric method.
2   To be able to define the process steps of volumetric analysis.
3   To be able to apply the methods of acidimetry, alkalimetry and argentometry analysis in volumetric analysis.
4   To be able to perform quantitative analysis using the complexometric applications of EDTA.
5   To be able to perform titration applications based on the oxidation-reduction (redox) reactions.
6   To be able to select the appropriate volumetric or gravimetric method for quantitative analysis of the sample to be analyzed.

10 The titrations based on precipitation-solubility reactions, determination of chloride by the Mohr and Fajans methods
11 The titrations based on complexation reactions, complexometric determination of magnesium
12 The titrations based on complexation reactions, complexometric determination of total hardness in drinking water
13 Applications of the permanganimetry and determination of iron
14 Applications of the iodometry and determination of copper
15 General repetition and compensated experiment
