Course Objective

To inform students and gain experience about welded manufacturing project steps, materials, methods, welding parameters selection, reporting/presentation of the prepared project.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To gain the skills to use the technologies needed in project preparation
2   Ability to plan welded manufacturing projects
3   Having knowledge about choosing suitable materials for welded manufacturing
4   To have knowledge about the selection of welding method, welding parameters, if any electrodes, additional weld metals and shielding gas for the suitable welded production.
5   Ability to choose the type of heat treatment if heat treatment is required for the production.
6   Gain experience in creating project reports, working in a team and making project presentations.
