Course Objective

The aim of this course is to teach the student to make three-dimensional drawing in CAD environment in accordance with the basic drawing principles of technical drawing. To have the knowledge and skills to draw plans, sections, views and assemblies of parts related to the profession and to make solid models using modern drawing techniques.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. To be able to learn basic information about CAD System.
2   2. To be able to use Solidworks commands..
3   3. To be able to draw the appearance of parts used in welded manufacturing in Solidworks program
4   4. To be able to draw cross-sections of parts in Solidworks program
5   5. To be able to assemble parts in Solidworks program
6   6. To be able to transfer the appearances of three-dimensional drawn parts to letterhead paper and print them out
7   7. To be able to read assembly drawings and interpret technical drawings

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

This course will be taught in the computer laboratory by demonstrating visual commands. The lecturer will create a discussion environment in the form of questions and answers with the students, and application drawing will be made to the students in each lesson in order to comprehend the commands explained.
