Course Objective

At the end of the semester, students explain who cochlear implants are suitable for, introduce the parts of the cochlear implant, and explain the function of each part.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Defines the outer, middle and inner ear and defines their functions.
2   Explains for whom cochlear implants are suitable.
3   Recognize the parts of the cochlear implant and explain the function of each part.
4   Explain the development of listening with implants in infants and children.
5   Prepares a plan to achieve listening and language development goals.

7 Perception of speech with implants: development of language and listening skills

9 Setting goals to develop listening and language skills in infants and children
10 Preparing a training plan to create a listening environment and improve language and listening skills
11 Preparing an education plan for babies
12 Video analysis and discussion
13 Video analysis: difficult cases
