Course Objective

The objective of this course is to provide an overview of port and terminal management and give universal basic presentations about essential elements of the ports, port administration, port management, port economics and port operations.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Gaining detailed knowledge on maritime management related subjects.
2   Having a comprehensive background on the meaning of the basic port and terminal management functions
3   Ability to apply this information to solve different port management problems.
4   Ability to identify typical port revenue and expenditure
5   Having basic information about port operations
