Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide detail information about the tasks of housekeeping department in lodging enterprises.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explain the role of housekeeping departments in hotels to be able to understand the importance of the housekeeping department with other departments in hotels.
2   .
3   List the tasks of housekeeping department related to room cleaning to be able to develop the use of efficient labor and material procedures.
4   Learn the necessary abilities needed in the department to be able make explain how performance standards are used in planning and organization of housekeeping department.
5   Comprehend the necessary information to be able to evaluate the department in terms of hygiene, safety and security.
6   Comprehend the quality tasks conducted in housekeeping department to be able to guarantee costumer satisfaction.
