Course Objective

The aim of the course is to provide basic and contemporary knowledge in the field of molecular biology to undergraduate level students.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to knows the basic concepts of Molecular Biology.
2   To be able to explains the structural characteristics of DNA and RNA molecules which the encoding, storage and diversity of genetic information.
3   To be able to define the basic molecular mechanisms of DNA self-replication, modify and repair.
4   To understand the gene structure and transcriptional control of gene expression in procaryotes
5   To understand the gene structure and the control of gene expression in eucaryotes
