The goal of this course is to describe the structure and function of the normal tissues of the body and provide a background for students in biological sciences and allied health fields of study who are continuing their training in professional and graduate programs

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To make the definition of histology, and knows the history of histology. Describes the cells, tissue fluid between cells.
2   To provide identify and explaining the structure of the major tissues and organs
3   To acquire a detailed background of the relationship between the structure and function of differentiated/specialized cell types, tissue types, organs and systems of mammalians
4   To observe and study the microscopic anatomy of selected differentiated/specialized cell types, tissue types, and organs of mammalians
5   To gain a working knowledge and understanding of some of the techniques that are used to investigate microanatomy

1 Definition of histology, formation of tissue and classification of animal tissue
2 Epithelial tissue structure, functions, properties, classification and explain varieties
3 Gland epithelium formation, classification, secretions secretory mechanisms, and the sensory epithelium of miyoepitel communication
4 Structure of the connective tissue fibers and cells, types and classification
5 The structure and function of adipose tissue. The structural features, classification and histophysiology of cartilage
6 Bones and bone tissue: The structure of cancellous and compact bone, periosteum and endosteum
7 Blood. The composition of plasma and the classification of the cells. Coagulation.
8 Midterm
9 Explaining the structure of the muscle tissue and the cells
10 Central and peripheral nervous system
11 Cardiovascular system
12 Respiratory system
