Course Contents

1 Instrument and equipment used in microbiology laboratory
2 Preparation and inoculation of culture media, methods for obtaining pure cultures of bacteria and morphological examination.
3 Simple staining of bacteria, Gram staining
4 Morphological and cytological examination of yeast and mold fungi.
5 Examination of the morphological groups of algae and protozoa.
6 Measurement of the size of microorganisms
7 Differantions of bacteria,virus and fungi and growth in in vitro conditions
8 Midterm
9 Preparation of example and inoculation
10 Catalase, oxidase, IMVIC tests
11 Biochemical methods
12 Antibiogram
13 Microscopic examination of gram-positive microorganisms
14 Microscopic examination of gram- negative microorganisms
