The aim of this course is to give the student an understanding of the molecular mechanisms of the basic concepts of genetics; the ability to have analytical thinking on genetics; the ability to relate and synthesize the concepts of genetics and other disciplines; an understanding of the role of genetics in biological structure, function and organization.

1   To learn the basic concepts of genetics in molecular level
2   To relate and synthesize the concepts of genetics
3   To examine the relationship between the concepts and experiments of genetics
4   To relate analytical thinking, experimental logic, quantitative analysis and problem solving
5   To relate the approaches of different disciplines such as molecular biology, biochemistry, statistics with genetics
6   To understand and relate the role of genetics in biological structure, function and organization
7   To understand daily life applications of the concepts of genetics
8   To search genetics databases and evaluate information from multiple sources and viewpoints by means of oral and written manners
