Course Objective

To introduce the basic theoretical and practical knowledge peculiar to the narrative genres of Turkish folk literature; and to provide students theoretical and methodological qualifications and knowledge used in the process of compiling and analyzing the narrative genres

1   1. Define the basic theoretical and practical knowledge peculiar to the narrative genres of Turkish folk literature
2   2. Define and classify the narrative genres,
3   3. Examine and evaluate the thematic, structural, contextual and functional features of narrative genres,
4   4. Do field research, compile and classify narrative genres,
5   5. Transcribe and analyze the compiled oral and written narrative genres in the frame of comparative and holistic point of view
