Course Objective

The incidence of health problems, traumas, injuries and accidents caused by disasters in the society,
to research and teach the causes, to evaluate the epidemiology of disasters in demographic terms, to ensure good management of the emergency services of hospitals in the rapid and effective elimination of emergency health problems during disasters, to perform triage (injured classification) studies in disasters and to teach coding of patients in emergency situations, to raise awareness of non-governmental organizations and to receive their contributions, to examine post-traumatic stress disorders encountered in disasters, to investigate their connection with burnout syndrome and to teach the necessary interventions, to teach first aid practices. What could these first aid applications be Gaining knowledge and skills on which type of disease and which type of injury and how and in what way first aid can be applied.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To show how effective emergency service organization will be,
2   To teach disaster epidemiology and triage studies in disasters and to raise awareness,
3   To raise awareness about Trauma Systems and their organization in hospitals,
4   To be able to develop and implement strategies on specific issues such as injuries by nuclear, biological and chemical weapons,
5   To be able to manage psychological support services and raise awareness about post-traumatic stress disorder and burnout syndrome,
6   Making emergency services in hospitals compatible and ready for emergency situations (disaster organization) provide,
7   To have knowledge and skills about first aid practices in diseases, disasters and various types of injuries
