Course Objective

This course aims to evaluate the development of EU gender equality policies and the relevance of them for Turkey.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. To recognise the concepts and the theories of gender equality.
2   2. To recognise the place and importance of gender equality in EUs policies.
3   3. To recognize the legal and institutional regulations on gender equality, as well as their implementations.
4   4. To have sufficient knowledge on discussions, problems and their possible solutions in field of gender equality.
5   5. To evaluate the relevance of EU s gender equality policies for Turkey.

1. Students are obligated to participate 70% of the lectures.
2. All kinds of plagiarism and attempt of plagiarism shall be concluded by disciplinary punishment.
3. Students supposed to read the materials before lecture and participate the classroom discussions.
4. Students are expected to make presentations about the subjects given by the lecturer and on the date determined.
5. The research papers that are not delivered on the day of the final exam will not be accepted.
