Course Objective

The aim of the course is to provide students with comprehensive information about Turkish political life. Ottoman history is included with reference to certain cornerstones in Ottoman-Turkish history in order to examine the break and continuity discussions.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explain the social foundation of the political structure of Türkiye
2   To be able to analyze the relationship between historical socio-economic changes and political structure
3   To be able to explain the dynamics of the political structure
4   To analyze the causes of political changes
5   To analyze continuity and integrity of the political changes that took place in Türkiye
