Course Objective

A course designed to develop mathematical skills considered important for business students and prepare them business for calculus

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   will be able to interpret a function from an algebraic, numerical and graphical perspective. To be able to understand and use properties of polynomials, rational, exponential, logarithmic functions.
2   will be able to define limit concept and will be able to apply
3   will be able to define continuity and derivative of functions. To be able to reflect these to the tangent line equation and able to apply economic applications.
4   will be able to sketch a possible graph of a function by examing max. min points and concavity.
5   will be able to fing absolute maximum and minimum value of a function
