Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide students with general computer skills required for their future-profession and improve their skills of using technology as an aiding tool in translation.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Define basic components of machine translation
2   Use translation memories in an effective way
3   Implement the knowledge they acquired on translation process and stages
4   Learn how to manage translation projects and will be able to fulfill the duties included in a Project
5   Compare traditional translation and computer-aided translation methods
