Course Objective

Students learn about the rules and responsibilities, Civil Aviation Management concept, goals, recognizing the legal basis, the duties and responsibilities of the employees in the ramp, rules must be complied with on the apron, principles relating to the use of vehicles, installation of equipments, apron safety, hazardous materials and emergency situations that may arise.

1 Purpose of ground services and scope; types of airport ground services
2 International and national regulations
3 Runways, taxiways, aprons, aircraft parking areas, baggage handling area
4 Apron tools, principles and procedures for the use of vehicles in the PAT field
5 Dangerous areas around the aircraft
6 Mandatory rules to be complied with on the apron
7 Mid-Term Exam
8 Ramp Handling And Ramp Operations
9 Passengers, baggage, cargo operations at the airport
10 Loading plan on the plane, process of cargo service; installation equipment; control of unit load supplies; (cargo and mail-luggage) infiltration, leakage, spills in loadsapron safety
11 Safety on APRON and classification of dangerous substances
12 Emergency situations in RAMP area
13 Occupational health and safety on the APRON
14 Dangerous areas around aircraft; apron rules; checking of SAFA, SANA, SACA, aircraft welcome (marshalling); push back
15 Final Exam
