Course Objective

The aim of the course is to teach adaptation period of Turks to Islam and history of Turkish Muslim states (Karahan, Gazne, Memluk, Harezmşah, Altınorda) which began with Idil Bulgars, Tolunoghuls and Ihşits.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   analyze conversion period of Turks to Islam
2   know about the first Turkish Muslim states like Tolunoghuls, Idil Bulgars and Karahans
3   know about Gazne, Harezmşah, Memluk, Altınorda, Timur Turks
4   understand place and role of first Turkish muslim states in Turkish and World history
5   define cultural heritage and art of the first Turkish muslim states
