Course Objective

Based on primary sources on the Turkish sociology, and the main concern is to analyze the development of sociological thought in Turkey.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Our students are provided with the local context of sociological thought.
2   As the science of producing an awareness solution of sociology, its reflections in our country are discussed.
3   To identify the interests of Turkish sociologists in different periods.
4   To teach the relation between Turkish modernization and Turkish sociology.
