Course Objective

The main objective of this course is to present the basics of a comparative historical sociological perspective by presenting the information and solutions of the different fields of study of social sciences or schools that have conducted studies in this common interdisciplinary field, starting from the relationship between history and sociology.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   This course aims to provide the students with the contributions and discussions about the theories and methods of historical sociology.
2   In this sense, evaluating and analyzing the current approaches together with the students stands out in terms of the course.
3   Using the comparative method of historical sociology, examining existing studies is of primary importance for the course.
