Course Objective

This course aims to undestand the aspect of themes and motifs which have been interpenetrated to the cultural memory of humanity, and analyze the patterns of themes and motifs in literary texts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   to use his/her knowledge about the concept of theme.
2   to use his/her knowledge about the concept of motif.
3   to analyse the relationship between theme and motif.
4   to analyse themes and motifs in literary texts.
5   to use theoretical viewpoints in order to analyse the literary texts.
