Course Objective

The aim of this course is to define the situation of the museums and museum studies in the cultural policies in Turkey up to today, to reveal the overview and to discuss.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will deal with Cultural Policies and Museums in a multi-faceted way 2   Students will discuss the situation and development of museums in Turkey's cultural policies 3   Students will compare Ottoman and Republican museum activities 4   Students will be able to compare and discuss different examples in the world
