Course Objective

The main objective of this course is to provide students a thorough understanding of the strategic importance of quality management, how quality tools and Quality Function Deployment methodology can be used to provide a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Assessment Criteria

Topic Presentations
Each student should prepare professionally for the topic presentations (at least 60 minutes). Using 5 different academic articles about the topic is a MUST. The students should also provide other related materials like videos, case studies or exercises during their topic presentations. Small booklets should be prepared for the content of the topic presentations (APA Format is obligatory both in presentation slides and booklet) and should be shared with the class because you are responsible from the topic presentations in the mid-term exam.

Term Project
Groups of 2 students will be formed. Students will make a real application of QFD and present his work at the end of the term. The printed slides of the presentation should be handed in at the presentation day.
