Course Objective

The aim of this course is to investigate the basic behaviour of different human tissues under normal and pathological conditions in terms of mechanical principles.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knows the macro mechanical behaviour of collagen tissue under normal and pathological conditions.
2   Knows the macro mechanical behaviour of bone tissue under normal and pathological conditions
3   Knows the macro mechanical behaviour of cartilage tissue under normal and pathological conditions
4   Knows the macro mechanical behaviour of muscle tissue under normal and pathological conditions
5   Knows the basic concepts related to tissue mechanics.
6   Can follow up the relevant literature.
