Course Objective

Introducing Turkish folktales, studies that is done on Turkish folktales, motif pattern of folktales, analyzing structures of well-known folktales.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knows all Turkish folktales.
2   Learn differences and similarities between folk tale and eposes.
3   Learn studies that is done about folktales in Türkiye and on abroad.
4   Learn motif and episode patterns of folktales.
5   Analyz tale of Aşık Garip
6   Learn tale of Tahir ile Zühre
7   Learn tale of Köroğlu and its variants
8   Learn well-known Turkish folktales.
