Course Objective

Targets of this course include to learn the chronological course, historical and literary development of Classical Turkish Literature; Recognizing and comprehending its aesthetic structure and sources, mastering the characteristics of Classical Turkish literature and the aesthetic understanding of form and genre of this literature. To have knowledge about aruz prosody and rhyme.

1   Recognize the problems related to the naming of classical Turkish literature.
2   List the general characteristics of Classical Turkish literature.
3   Learn the sources of Classical Turkish Literature.
4   Learn Aruz prosody and rhyme.
