Course Objective

Recognizing Western literature in basics; having knowledge about poetic sub-genres developed in West like epic poem, didactic poem and satire; and other sub-genres like tragedia and comedia. Revaluating reflections of types and genres developed in West in Türkiye.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Recognize basic Western literature and its figures.
2   Recognize genres developed in West like Drama, Tragedia and Comedia.
3   Learn basic figures of Western literature like Homeros, Dante, Fenelon and be able to comment about their works

7 Midterm

9 Prose in Greek.
10 Genres like history and rhetoric and their representives.
11 Philosophy in Greek.
12 Evaluation about Socrates, Platon and Aristo
