Course Objective

Purposes of this course are to give ability of reading, interpretating and grammar analyzing texts of old Anatolian Turkish that have a spacial position in periods of Turkic languages, to introduce important historical, medicine and literary texts of Turkish language and doing linguistic analysis on selected texts.

1   Learn position of old Anatolian Turkish in historical progress.
2   Have information about figures and works of old Anatolian Turkish
3   Learn linguistic and spelling proeprties of old Anatolian Turkish
4   May practice linguistic properties that is learnt on texts
5   Apprehend the position and importance of old Anatolian Turkish in language and culture history

1 Historical progress of Turkish, language periods, differences and similiarities between old Turksih, old Anatolian Turkish, and Turkey Turkish.
2 Old Anatolian Turkish, figures and works of Seigniories of Seljuks and first period of Ottoman
3 Spelling properties of old Anatolian Turkish, reading and interprateting studies
4 Spelling properties of old Anatolian Turkish, reading and interprateting studies
5 Rounded and unrounded suffixes and phonems of old Antolian Turkish.
6 Rounded and unrounded suffixes and phonems of old Antolian Turkish, phonetic changes, reading and interpretating studies.
7 Mid-term exam
8 Morphology of old Anatolian Turkish noun inflection and derivation suffixes, reading and interpretating studies.
9 Old Anatolian Turkish verb inflection and derivation suffixes, tense and modality suffixes, reading and interpretating studies.
10 Old Anatolian personality suffixes of verbs, reading and interpretating studies.
11 Old Antolian verb forms, reading and interpretating studies.
