Course Objective

The goal of this class is to understand issues in Türkiye and globally In addition, we will discuss the etnic and nationalism problems caused by globalization and classical nation state. Finally, we will offer possible solutions to current problems.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To become aware of the major approaches to etnicity and nationalism
2   To become familiar with the theories and contributions of major figures in the field.
3   To learn to appreciate the necessity of a multi-level explanation of ethnicity and national solidaritiy
4   To show the social movement and identity and culture in social world
5   To show case conflict and consolidation among nationalism and ethnicity.
