Course Objective

The main goal of this course is to give information and make students to have an describing on historical development and the character of concepts like human rights and civil society .

1   To be able to introduce concepts of human rights
2   To be able to study on fundamental rights and how to protect them
3   To be able to familiarize with the fundamental texts on human rights
4   To be able to familiarize with institutions of human rights
5   To be able to express how to use and utilize human rights reports
6   To be able to study on main principles of democracy and current implementations
7   To be able to study on the development of civil society in both Ottoman period and after Turkey become a Republic. To learn about NGOs in both periods.
8   To be able to explain the importance of NGOs as the third sector in terms of its participation to government for a world in which all societies can live in peace. To understand the methods of this
