Course Objective

The objective of this course is to refine translation competences.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To use their knowledge of approaches of Translation Studies to literary texts;
2   To distinguish functions and factors of literary texts from the view of Translation Studies;
3   To determine variances and invariances in intercultural communication;
4   To analyze texts for translation purposes;
5   To apply translation techniques and strategies in literary translation from German to Turkish.
