Course Objective

The objective of this course is to define the concept of violence and the relations between literature and violence.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of this course, the students will be able; To distinguish the usage of violence in literature.
2   To use the basic concepts of literature of violence.
3   To analyse the usage of main movements of violence in literature.
4   To distinguish the different approaches of author s to violence in literature.
5   To define the relations between political and individual violence.

Assessment Criteria

1. The examinations are prepared in a way that they will evaluate the students ability to assess the knowledge they get during the classes with a critical perspective.
2. Students are expected to give answers to open-ended questions so that they can develop their ability to write academically. Fort his reason, the answers should be in the essay form.
