Course Objective

The course aims to teach the cultural history of the phases of Ancient Roman Period by focusing on material data. The arts of sculpture, architecture, pottery, painting and mosaics constitute the core of the course. Visual materials including objects of art and find will be presented.

3   Marble works of art are presented to the students
4   The relationship between architecture and sculpture are taught
5   Students learn how to describe sculpture and marble objects from Ancient Roman period
