Course Objective

The main purpose of this course is to teach Ottoman language as a source language, the
spelling rules of Ottoman language, grammar of Arabic and Persian language, and help
students read literary and historical
texts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   student will be able to learn the spelling rules of Arabic and Persian language
2   student will be able to translate the written texts into modern Turkish
3   student will be able to have a better understanding of the related historical periods by the help of texts written in the given periods
4   student will be able to analyze the information obtained from Ottoman sources
5   student will be able to scientifically evaluate the written texts
