Course Objective

Aims of this course are to teach subjects related imaging systems in diagnostic nuclear medicine, quality controls of SPECT-PET systems and imaging protocols.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to describe basic concepts of radiation physics.
2   Being able to list imaging systems in nuclear medicine.
3   Being able to express formation of images in SPECT and PET systems.
4   Being able to perform the acceptance tests and quality controls of SPECT and PET systems.
5   Being able to classify the radiopharmaceuticals in nuclear medicine
6   Being able to classify the imaging protocols in nuclear medicine.
7   Being able to compare advantages and disadvantages of diagnostic imaging systems.
8   Being able to determine the reasons of image artifacts in SPECT and PET systems.

2. Every trial to copying will be finalized with disciplinary proceedings.
3. The instructor has right to make practical quizzes. The scores obtained from quizzes will be directly added to exam scores.
