Course Objective

This course aims at exploring how language can be studies as a natural science, and discussing how speech sounds, and other linguistic structures are acquired, mentally represented and processed in the mind.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   perceive the relationship between linguistics and cognitive psychology
2   perseive how to analyze linguistic in terms of natural science
3   acquire the fundamental building blocks of language such as phoneme
4   acquire the fundamental building blocks of language such as morpheme and phrase structure
5   understand how language is acquired
6   explain the stages of linguistic processing
