Course Objective

The aim of this lecture is to understand the importance of warning signs and signboards and personal protective equipments (PPE) in terms of OHS and also have professional competence for using warning signs, signboards and PPEs which are compatible with the standarts and situations.

1   Knows the regulations about Safety and health signs.
2   Recognize the warning signs and signboards
3   Understand the importance of warning signs, signboards and personal protective equipments (PPE) for prevention of occupational accidents.
4   Recognize PPEs and knows how and when to use them

Success evaluation is calculated by taking 40% of the midterm exam and 60% of the final exam.

With midterm exam and final exam, students' level of understanding of learning outcomes will be evaluated.
