Course Objective

This course aims to inform concepts and main characteristics of work safety, work accident, organisation culture and safety culture; to help for improving safety culture in the workplace; to examine work safety emprically by giving information to studenst about safety culture in Türkiye and in the World.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to use the notions of work safety and safety culture.
2   Learn to contract between safety culture and organisation culture.
3   Learn to examine the effect of safety culture on safety performance.
4   To be able analyze work safety practices in the world.
5   To be able know the academic studies on work safety culture in Türkiye.

It is calculated by taking 40% of the Midterm exam, 60% of the final exam success rating.

Assessment Criteria

The understanding degree of students to 5 learning outputs is evaluated by midterm and final exams.
