Course Objective

To students;
To give information about purpose and coverage of Occupational Health and Safety Law with act no. 6331,
To give basic information about mission,authority and responsibility for providing occupational health and safety at work,
To teach basic information about rights and obligations of employer end employee at work
To ensure that students who may monitore and interpret the legal legislation about occupational health and safety

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Have information about general framework of Occupational Safety Legislation.
2   Have elementary information about obligations of OHS in legislations of Occupational and Social Security.
3   Have information about supporting Occupatonal Health and Safety Services, Occupational Physician and Occupational Safety Practice
4   Obtain information about coverage of Occupational Accident ant Diseases in Occupational Safety Legislation.

Success evaluation is calculated by taking 40% of the midterm exam and 60% of the final exam.

Assessment Criteria

With midterm exam and final exam, students' level of understanding of learning outcomes will be evaluated.
