Course Objective

Teaching how to edit an effectively visual hierarchy for visual communication; how to organize the illustrative elements on any graphic design product; the basic principles of page lay-out; how to design creative surface lay-outs using motion and image.

1   To be able to develop the correct lay-out approach to different graphic design surfaces
2   To be able to organize the correct hierarchy and legibility of the images

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 An introduction to kinetic illustration project. Begin preparation of background sound or music suitable for the study.
2 Implementation of the previous project. Analyzing information about the new project and analyzing case studies. (Explainer Videos). Matching of sound and image. Making evaluations on the flow.
3 (Explainer Videos). Designing the flow related to the subject to be studied. (Explainer Videos). Giving the last critics and making preparations for the video output of the project.
4 Designing the process for the subject to be studied. (Explainer Videos). Finalizing the project with sound and sharing the presentation format with the students.
5 (Explainer Videos). Designing the storyboard on the subject to be studied. (Explainer Videos). Conclusion and evaluation.
6 (Explainer Videos). Planning and designing the visual material related to the subject to be studied.
7 (Explainer Videos). Evaluation of visual material on the subject to be studied.
8 (Explainer Videos). Starting the application of kinetic illustration through scenes prepared when visual materials are completed.
9 (Explainer Videos). Starting to mobilize the material and process based on the storyboard.
10 (Explainer Videos). Evaluation of sequence preparations by examining the mobilized studies.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

In the lessons, basic skills are gained through joint studies in the computer laboratory. In projects, students can use their own computers. Critical lectures on presentation, technical expression and project are conducted.
