Course Objective

This class aims to get the students who have completed their fundamental education, to produce works of art that utilize the relationship between form and meaning solidly and present the results within the frame of an aesthetical integrity, by taking advantage of the codes and resources of visual language.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The students taking this class will gather knowledge about what an individual attitude of art is.
2   They will have sufficient knowledge about the fact that individual attitude of art is a process that is shaped by independent research, thoughts and observations.
3   After their experiences within this class, they will understand that artistic expression is a new kind of formal organization, that is coded with visual elements.
4   The students will know that the relationship between form and meaning that comes up in their self work, is to be based within the frame of tradition in art applications, with a knowledge of art history, and within the context of intellectual and sociological data.
5   The students will have sufficient knowledge that their works need to be presented to the audience in a way that is in line with contemporary practices of presentation, within the context of a concept of presentation, that also discusses the exhibition space.

Proficiency in utilizing materials, being in line with fundamental plastic values, the organization and setting up of images, expressive quality and proficiency, being able to develop, originality, the clarity in relationships of form-meaning, command of visual language, intellectual dimension etc.
