Course Objective

Analytic studies on planning, operating and process control matters in port and terminal operations . Discussing and asserting analytical approaches for innovative and creative solutions to the problems in the related issues, and designing systems or systems improvements by syntheses.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knowledge acquisition in shipping issues, port and terminal planning.
2   Ability to produce solutions for a variety of work problems arise in the port operations
3   Having a creative notion in the optimization of port and terminal operations
4   Ability of planning port capacity and using technology - equipment
5   Realizing performance measurement studies for ports and terminal firms and making comparative analyses.
