Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide a general view of maritime law. The course focuses on advanced topics such as admiralty law, law of the sea, marine insurance law and ensure them to attribute relation between the application of the courts and maritime law norms.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1.Identifying the rights of coastal states in maritime zones,
2   2.Following up the recent development of International Maritime Conventions,
3   3. Implementing the norms and the maritime application by analysing legal cases,
4   4. Identifying national and international norms related with carriage of goods by sea,
5   5.Identifing the importance of marine ınsurance .
