Course Objective

Evaluating, understanding and discussion of technological developments in maritime industry; understanding the technical aspects of safety of marine transportation and inputs that support environmental protection and discussion of future projections. Discussion of technological developments that will enable development of maritime industry.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Analysis of technological innovations positive and negative impacts on shipping and navigational safety. 2   Examining the effects of technological influence an environmental protection improvements. 3   To resolve the impacts of technological changes on maritime industry. 4   Identifying technologic effects on ship operations. 5   Analysis of human resources adaptability on rapidly changing technologies.
