Course Objective

Global maritime security risks, best management practices against of the piracy, international and regional cooperation, ISPS practices, analyzing of the unstable ares in terms of the global trade and logistic, analysing possible effects of the global economic developments in terms of sociology to maritime security, contribution/effects of regional and international trade, economy and social center of powers to maritime security.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. Evaluation of the programs and international maritime and security regulations.
2   2. Investigations security threats in the sea and piracy, smuggling, contraband cases and analysis prevention methods.
3   3. Analyzing of the relations with terrorism and maritime transport.
4   4. Investigation port security management and analyzing high level port operations/practices.
5   5. Evaluating of the reducing security threats strategies.
