Course Objective

This course is designed to overview the main issues in international finance. The course particularly aims 'hot topics' in international finance including pros and cons of fixed and floating exchange rates, current account imbalances, macroeconomic imbalances, blockchain, digital currencies, fintech, and international financial crises including Global Financial Crisis, Sovereign Debt Crisis in Europe, the impact of Covid-19 on global economies.
