Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to convey the diversity and new trends of contemporary world economy to students emphasizing the dynamics of financial crises, integration of developing countries to the world economy, new production areas, environmental problems, current monetary and fiscal policies, international capital flows and current risks in global economy and financial markets.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. The learner will be able to document the current problems in world economy for answering the risks in developed and developing countries.
2   2. The learner will be able to link the concepts to look through the different issues facing the global economy.
3   3. The learner will be able to follow economic policies adopted by major developed and developing countries to detect macroeconomic issues and vulnerabilities for the global economy.
4   4. The learner will be able to acquire current news on world economy by following the periodicals and journals to debate possible future trends.
