Course Objective

To investigate the ideas of philosophers, from Hegel to the present, who made contributions to the field of aesthetics and philosophy of art.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The participants gain the knowledge of the theories of aesthetics and philosophy of art developed by philosophers from Hegel to the present.
2   A special ability to evaluate the solutions developed by philosophers related to aesthetics is built.
3   The participants could make comparisons between new and old theories of aesthetics.
4   The participants could ground these ideas on a solid basis.
5   The participants equip themselves with an intellectual capital that renders them critic in the field of aesthetic and philosophy of art.
